Puffer jackets have been around for a while now, even before they were claimed to be in
fashion. I remember growing seeing my Mum wear long black puffer jackets every winter,
each year they got progressively shorter and a little more fashionable, this year with the
addition of a fur hood and a belt around the middle. Through the evolution of my Mum’s
winter coats, puffer jackets themselves have been increasing in popularity and becoming
more desirable with models such as Kendall Jenner and Bella Hadid wearing them in an
array of different patterns and colors. Designer Demna Gvasalia (Balenciaga) introduced his
memorable puffer jackets onto the runway in early 2017 sparking interest and intrigue,
encouraging the puffer jacket trend to get to where it is today.

A popular choice is always red, with black making for a good staple piece and
silver/reflective materials being one of the trendier options. Styled up or down with jeans or
dresses, puffer jackets are definitely one of the versatile pieces in a person’s wardrobe.
