This Easter Weekend in April we will be bringing you the 3rd edition of Street Eats, the Halal Gems flagship food festival. For three days we will be taking over the iconic Old Spitalfields Market, bringing you London’s biggest street food festival on Friday 19th April to Sunday 21st April.

We’re back with some of our favorites from last year plus more new traders including everything from the best in Venezuelan cuisine and hot dogs to the best jollof rice in town … and of course, back by popular demand, there will be burgers.

We’ve decided to add a little Amaliah Soul to the event and have added a few extras, so whilst you eat your food and get to know people we will be bringing you entertainment.

Friday 19th April
Amaliah Soul Sessions
We open doors at 12pm and close at 9pm, We will be ready to meet you all over food and drink, we’ve also decided that Amaliah Soul Session is coming on the road with us and we will be bring you Soul Sessions with founders of Amaliah.com Nafisa & Selina Bakkar. So get ready to grab some food, find a spot and join the session. Here’s a little look at our recent Soul sessions, Amaliah Safe space which was an initiative to bring Muslim women together after the recent New Zealand incidents which affected us all.

Darjeeling Express founder, and Indian chef, Asma Khan is said to be the first chef from Britain that has appeared on the Netflix show Chef’s Table which we will be screening at #Streeteatsfest.

We are hoping for this to be one for the kids because they need a little entertainment too! Entertainer TBC. Children under 16 years old do not need a ticket for any day.

Sufra NW London works on the front-line in the fight against hunger and poverty whilst also offering a wide range of services and community-based activities that empower individuals and families to overcome impoverishment and social isolation.
