The tragic deaths of our brothers and sisters in New Zealand has affected us all.
It is during testing times like these that we demonstrate the strength of our community and follow in the footsteps of our Prophet Muhammad peace be upon him.
Abu Musa reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “Verily, the believers are like a structure, each part strengthening the other,” and the Prophet clasped his fingers together.

This is the time that we collectively (Muslims and Non-Muslims) offer support to the families of the deceased by donating and contributing to fundraising efforts. Many of us have been tweeting and sharing messages of support over the past few days.

The group will be traveling to New Zealand on the 23rd of March as part of a small escorted tour programme. They are compiling a book of condolences which they intend to print and share with mosques as well as make available online. If you would like to send a message to include in the book, do so by Monday 18th March 5.00 pm, the team explain the deadline and distribution:
“We are compiling a book of condolences which we’re intending to print and share with both mosques, as well as to be available online for everyone to read. If you would like to send a message to include in the book, please do so by Monday 18th March at 5.00pm. The short deadline is so we have enough time to put the book together and print it before we leave.”

This may seem like a small deed but we shouldn’t underestimate the power and impact it can have.
Abu Dharr reported: The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “Do not regard any good deed as insignificant, even meeting your brother with a cheerful face.”
