This Easter weekend, why not spend time bonding with your kids over lanterns, a great way to inject a little reminder this holiday, so your kids dont feel like they are missing out on the easter hunt.
Here is a template (yes, for free!) for these cute little Moroccan inspired paper lanterns for you to download, from Sweet Fajr. Ramadan is round the corner after all, this may get you more in the mood!
Cut out the “doors” and inner decor first with an x-acto knife / hobbykniv. The first model is a bit trying, it will take some time to cut out all those small shapes, but it’s worth it in the end inshallah. The second model is a bit easier to start with. Cut out the entire piece and score with a bone folder / falsben along the dotted lines.
Decorate the windows with tissue paper and then glue the lantern together, all done! AND, please don’t use real tealights inside! I recommend you use led lights instead, much safer inshallah.
