With reports saying that the weather in the U.K is set to plummet right through to March, and with the first month of 2018 leaving many of us in need of a new year already, you might feel tempted to get out of the country for a bit – especially those on the grind in grey London.

But you needn’t spend all of that time and money looking elsewhere! Take a break and use an opportunity to go and see a bit of what the U.K has to offer. South England is home to some of the world’s most beautiful beaches (it’s true, it’s on THE list) and although you’ll likely not be taking a dip in the ocean, it’s definitely worth going to soak up some views that are truly unique to the British Isles.

Amaliah have curated a list of three amazing Pinterest guides to getting away in the U.K and there’s something here for everyone:

Brecon Beacons National Park – 3 Day Hike

Wales has three stunning national parks, and if you’re up for getting fresh air and a fresh perspective, take a walk through the Breacon Beacon’s national park for some of the most breathtaking scenery the British countryside has to offer.

5 Days in Cornwall

Cornwall is one of the foremost holiday destinations for Brits looking to get around the U.K, and there’s a really good reason! It’s steeped in history and has an atmosphere unlike anywhere else in Britain, serving up some of the best sun, greenery and beach-time during the summer. It can get a little crowded when the weather’s nice though, so take a trip outside of peak season, hire out a cosy cottage and get some much needed rest. This post lists some of the top 5 things to see, do and eat around Cornwall – everything to get you started on your journey.

A Weekend City Escape to Edinburgh

If you’re not willing to part ways with city life completely, Edinburgh could offer you the compromise you’re after. Use this guide to seeing the city in 48 hours if you need a break from home life, but want a familiar hustle and bustle weekend away in the Scottish historic capital.
