The 14th of December will mark six months since the Grenfell tower tragedy, one of the worst catastrophes in Britain since World War Two.
On Saturday the 2nd of December RTP (Ramadan Tent Project) will be hosting an event to hold an exclusive in depth discussion and analysis, of the community led response to the tragedy. The event will give an opportunity for you to hear directly from survivors, local residents, activists and faith leaders in discussion of the impact the tragedy has had on the community so far, how justice is being achieved for victims, and what steps we can all take to help the community.
The line up includes, Shahin Sadafi – survivor and chair of Grenfell United, Tiago Alves – survivor and committee member of Grenfell United, Lowkey – Musician, Zain Miah – team member of Grenfell Muslim Response Unit, Joe Delaney from Grenfell Action Group, Abdulrahman Sayed – Director of Al Manaar Muslim Cultural Centre and Reverand Mike Long of Notting Hill Methodist Church.
The event will be at the Brunei Gallery which is in the School of Oriental and Asian Studies (SOAS), at 1:30pm to 4:00pm.
