So the weather is a big deciding factor for our Health & Beauty posts. Red lentils are a favourite of ours in the office for lunch and they are great for you too.

Benefits

  • Lowers Cholesterol due to the presence of folate and magnesium.
  • Lentils can increase your energy levels which is great during menstruation as our iron levels drop and consuming them boosts the iron levels.
  • High amount of healthy protein, 26% of Lentils calories are attributed to protein.
  • Stabilized Blood Sugar due to the soluable fibre which slows down digestion.
